John Anthony Pugliese, 64, of Auburn, PA, passed away Wednesday, January 16th, at Lehigh Valley Medical Center, Allentown.
Born in Hazleton, PA on December 14, 1954, he was a son of the late Frank Pugliese & Theresa (Ryba) Pugliese Washko.
He was the husband of Alfreda M. Pugliese.
John graduated from Hazleton High School, Class of 1973, and served in the U.S. Navy.
He was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven.
John retired from Frackville State Correctional Institute, where he had worked as a welder.
In addition to his wife, John is also survived by two daughters, Brooke Murphy & husband, Jesse, Auburn, Lauren Bortz, companion of Jeremy Bailey, Shoemakersville, & a son,Brandon Pugliese, Auburn.He is also survived by seven grandchildren: Bella, & Greyson Murphy, Ryleigh, & Lyla Bortz, and Skylar, Mya, & Wyatt Bailey, a sister, Mary Ellen Pavuk & husband, John, Lattimer, three brothers: Ben Pugliese & wife, Linda, Beaver Meadows, James Pugliese & wife, Joan, Hazleton, & Jeffrey Pugliese, North Carolina, and nieces & nephews.
A Catholic Memorial Service will be conducted at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven, at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 22nd, with Rev. Msgr. Edward S. Zemanik officiating.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
Interment will be privately held at the family's convenience.
