Jordan T. Krute, 26, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Monday at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, after a lengthy battle with leukemia, lasting four years and two days.
Jordan was born in Pottsville, July 14, 1988, a son of Fred H. and Michele L. Shappell Krute, Schuylkill Haven.
He served in the Army and was employed by Garland Communications, Pottsville.
Jordan was a member of the Downtowne Tavern Pool Team in the Schuylkill Pool League and played for Mortgage America in the Schuylkill/Berks Fastpitch Softball League.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are a son, Jaxon Krute, Pine Grove; brothers, Justin Krute, San Diego, Calif., and Jarrett Krute, Philadelphia; fiancee, Breanna Watkins, New Ringgold; maternal grandmother, Mildred Seltzer Shappell, Schuylkill Haven; two aunts, Karen, wife of Jerry Geist, Selinsgrove, and Janice Krute, Hockessin, Del.; an uncle, Jeff Krute, husband of Diane, Feasterville; cousins Kelsey, Kendall and Adin Geist, and Jeffrey and Brianna Krute.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at noon Friday at The Lighthouse Church, Orwigsburg, with the Rev. William Orf and the Rev. Mark Hochgertal officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
At the family's request, memorial donations may be sent to 212 E. Union St., Schuylkill Haven, PA for Jaxon Krute's Education Fund.
