Joseph E. Houtz

Joseph E. Houtz, 61, of Orwigsburg, passed away Sunday, December 2nd, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Schuylkill, E. Norwegian St., Pottsville.

Born in Pottsville, on October 8, 1957, he was a son of the late Jean (Corby) and Clyde E. Houtz.

He was a graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School, class of 1976.

He retired from Tamaqua Cable after being employed for more than 20 years.

Joseph is survived by his three children: Riki Norton, wife of Larry, New Ringgold, Karl Houtz, Cressona and Jolyn Goggin wife of Anthony, New Ringgold; grandchildren Austin Norton, Mason Norton, Carter Norton, Azuri Houtz, Jace Goggin and Merrik Goggin; siblings Clyde Houtz, Jr., Pottsville, Marie Spiess, Schuylkill Haven, Donald Houtz, Pottsville and David Houtz, Schuylkill Haven, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kajia Houtz.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home, Cressona, at 10:30 am on Friday, December 7th,with Pastor Sunny Stock officiating.

A viewing for family and friends will be held Friday 9:30 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Family request donations to Ebling Stabingas Funeral Home P.O. Box 96 Cressona, PA 17929, to help defray the costs.

Interment will follow at Cressona Cemetery, Cressona.
