Josephine Kose, 101, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Sunday at Rest Haven nursing home, Schuylkill Haven.
Born in Philadelphia, March 18, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Maria Rosato.
She was the widow of Petty Officer 2nd Class Alexander Kose, a Pearl Harbor survivor and Navy veteran of World War II, who preceded her in death Sept. 24, 2011.
Josephine was of the Roman Catholic faith.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, retired Army Colonel Alexander and Karen Kose, Schuylkill Haven; grandson, Alexander Kurt Kose II and his fiancee, Ashley Russell; granddaughter, A1C Destinee Vickers, Air Force; great-granddaughter, Rachael; nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven. A visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Wednesday. Interment will be privately held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. At the family's request, memorial donations in Josephine's memory may be sent to Alzheimer's Association , South Central PA Chapter, 3544 N. Progress Ave., Suite 205, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
