Joy Lorraine Quinter, 47, of Schuylkill Haven, went to Heaven Saturday, September 23rd, at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX.
Born in Pottsville, PA on May 31, 1970, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Zweizig, Sr. & Joy Lorraine (Lesher) Zweizig.
She was the loving wife of William Carl Quinter.
Joy graduated from Schuylkill Haven High School in 1988 and was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Schuylkill Haven.
She had worked as an at EMT with the Pottsville EMS and Hillside SPCA for 16 years.
In addition to her husband, Joy is also survived by daughter, Ashley Joy Quinter, Chesapeake, VA, step-daughters: Laura Woll and Stephanie Quinter, both of Schuylkill Haven, four grandchildren, two brothers: Clarence Zweizig, Jr. & wife, Robin, Schuylkill Haven, and Tim Zweizig, Chesapeake, VA, and sister, Brenda Carr & husband, Leo "Buddy", Schuylkill Haven.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be conducted at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven, at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 28th, with Rev. David Rowe officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday from 9 - 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
