Judith Ann (Mccomb) Burcik

May 30, 1951 — July 20, 2017

Judith Ann McComb Burcik, 66, of Wayne Township, passed away Thursday, July 20th, at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg, after a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Born in Centre County, PA, on May 30, 1951, she was a daughter of the late Ralph W. & Lois (Martin) McComb.

She was the loving wife of Robert Joseph Burcik.  The couple recently celebrated 47 years of marriage on July 11th.

Judy was a graduate of State College High School, Class of 1969, and received a bachelor's degree from Kutztown University.

She had been employed by Baldwin Brass, SIBT and RACC.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Summer Hill, Auburn.

Judy was a wonderful Mom & Nana.  Her four children and seven grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Amy Holland & husband, Brock, Pottsville, and three sons: Michael Burcik & wife, Shannan, Pottsville, Matthew Burcik, Alexandria, VA, and Scott Burcik & wife, Lindsey, Schuylkill Haven, as well as seven grandchildren: Derek & Evan Burcik, Logan, McKenzie, & Delaney Holland, Gwenyth Lieberman, and Lily Burcik, a sister, Mary McComb, Washington, D. C., a brother, John McComb & wife, Eileen, Media, brother-in-law, Richard Burcik & wife, Susan, Malvern, and nieces & nephews.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Summer Hill, Auburn, on Sunday at 4 p.m. with Rev. Kathleen Ash-Flashner officiating.

A visitation will be held at the church on Sunday from 2 p.m. until the time of service.

Interment will be privately held at Summer Hill Cemetery, Auburn, at the family's convenience.

The family requests donations in her memory to Judith Burcik Memorial Soccer Scholarship Fund.  Checks made payable to the scholarship fund may be mailed to Hidden River Credit Union, 60 Westwood Rd., Pottsville, PA 17901.
