June Janet Flatt, 84, of 91 East Rauschs Road, New Ringgold, Schuylkill County, widow of John A. Brumbach, Blandon, died Tuesday afternoon at approximately 3.22 pm in PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Wilkes-Barre, where she had been a patient since March 17.
Born in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Reading, in 1938, she was a daughter of George A. Flatt and Dorothy P. Bauscher.
She attended Kimmels Church in Orwigsburg, Schuylkill County.
She was a 1954 graduate of Oley Valley High School and an award-winning hair stylist and alumni of Empire Beauty School. She worked as a loan officer at CoreStates Hamilton Bank, Reading, and its two mergers before retiring.
She was a member of the Pennsylvania Order of the Eastern Star Inc., the Flying Dutchmen Ski Club and the Red Hat Society, Reading.
June volunteered for many years as poll worker in Berks and Schuylkill counties.
Always ready for the next adventure, June enjoyed traveling, skiing, motorcycles, snowmobiles, camping, boating, and horseback riding.
She was an animal lover, excellent cook and loving mother. She enjoyed playing cards and board games with friends.
Surviving are three daughters: Vicki A., wife of Craig Conrad, Oak Creek, CO., Lori Weidner, wife of Guido Famulare, Quebec, Canada, and Marcia R., wife of Jeffrey C. Hill, Orwigsburg, Schuylkill County.
Also surviving is one sister, Beverly J. Flatt, Exeter Township. There are three grandsons and one granddaughter in addition to three great grandchildren, two half-sisters and two step grandchildren.
