Kenneth R. Hartranft, 85, of North Manheim Township, passed away Friday at St. Joseph Medical Center, Reading, Berks County.
Born in New Ringgold, May 29, 1930, he was a son of the late John and Mable Pauley Hartranft.
He was the husband of Geraldine M. Clocker Hartranft.
Ken was a member of United Presbyterian Church, Pottsville, and was also a life member of the Second Mountain Rod & Gun Club.
He served in the Pennsylvania National Guard for 15 years and was employed as a truck driver for Penske for 26 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Russell, Floyd, Leon, Paul, Howard "Jake," Miriam, Pearl and Carol; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Ken is survived by a sister, Betty Ditzler, Pottsville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home, 26 Chestnut St., Cressona, with the Rev. Robert Schaeffer officiating. A viewing will be held from 9 a.m. Tuesday until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
