Kenneth L. "Kenny" Trumbo, 85, of Summit Station, passed away Tuesday at The Lutheran Home at Topton.
Born in Summit Station, Sept. 29, 1931, he was a son of the late David and Violet Lengel Trumbo.
He was the husband of Beverly A. Fessler Trumbo.
Kenny was a graduate of Cressona High School and had served in the Army as a corporal in the Korean War.
He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Summer Hill, Auburn, where he sang with The Players.
Kenny played the banjo with Echos of Grace, Blue Ridge Mountain Clan and SOS Gang.
He had been employed by the Department of Public Welfare at the Hamburg Center in maintenance.
In addition to his wife, Kenny is also survived by a daughter, Kimberly Moore and husband, Phillip, New Braunfels, Texas; grandchildren, Zachary Moore, Mitchell Moore and Tanner Moore; a sister, Elona Fromm and husband, George, Summit Station; beloved dog, Maggie Mae; nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Summer Hill, Auburn, with the Rev. Kathleen Ash-Flashner officiating. A viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Interment will follow the service in Summer Hill Cemetery, Auburn. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Kenny's memory to Hillside SPCA, P.O. Box 233, Pottsville, PA 17901.
