Lamar F. Schuler Sr., 91, of Orwigsburg, passed away Tuesday, March 8, at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg.
Born in Emmaus, on Aug. 9, 1930, he was a son of the late Eva A. (Shafer) and Preston Schuler.
He was the widower of Dorine (Schaeffer) and Anna (Rhodes).
He was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven, and a life member of American Hose Company No. 2, Pottsville.
He served in the Air Force as an airman first class.
He was formerly employed by Fanelli Trucking as a driver for 32½ years.
In addition to his first and second wives, he was preceded in death by his eight siblings; a stepson, Alfred Rhodes.
Lamar is survived by his sons, Gary, husband of Kathy, Pottsville, Ricky and his companion, Diane, Oley, Kevin, husband of Carolyn, Pottsville, Keith, Pottsville, and Lamar Jr., husband of Stacie, Mar Lin; stepdaughters, Marilyn Adams, wife of John, Emmaus, and Ginger Ebling, wife of Elmer, North Manheim Twp.; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
Lamar's family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Seton Manor and the long-term care unit for going above and beyond throughout the years to keep him happy and comfortable.
Services and interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a local veteran association.
