Lillie A. Schwartz, 98, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away peacefully Friday, February 4th, at Luther Ridge, Pottsville; joining the family and The Lord she loved so much.
Born in Schuylkill Haven on September 6, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Menton & Carrie (Weaver) Ney.
She was the widow of Bernard D. Schwartz, who passed away in 1999, after more than 50 years of marriage.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her first husband, John Brinich, & son, Lee Brinich.
Lillie had worked as a self-employed beautician, a cafeteria worker for Blue Mountain School District, a homemaker, and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She was a faithful member of Bethany Christian Fellowship EC Church, Cressona. She was involved with the church's Ladies Aide, and Missionary Aide groups.
Lillie was an avid quilter, and an excellent cook. She loved square dancing, and playing cards with friends and family.
Lillie is survived by a daughter, Sandra, wife of Carl Boscia, of Harmony, NJ, and a son, Daniel, husband of Sandra Schwartz, of Schuylkill Haven, five grandchildren: Devin, husband of Brisy Schwartz, Lee Pollack, John Brinich, Lisa Ayers, & Wendy Strauss, and five great-grandchildren: Lincoln, Levi, Leah, Malia, & Daniel.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, February 9th at Geschwindt Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven. A visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the time time of service. Interment will follow at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
At the family's request, memorial donations in Lillie's memory may be forwarded to Bethany Christian Fellowship EC Church, 102 Front St., Cressona, PA 17929.
