Linda J. Schwartz

Linda J. Schwartz, age 83, of the Friedensburg area passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at Geisinger St. Luke’s Hospital, Orwigsburg. Her late parents were Paul J. Schwartz, Sr. & Vera (Lutz) Schwartz. Linda was born at home on the family farm, June 24, 1941. She had two older siblings, Ina Mae Luckenbill & Paul Schwartz, Jr. and two nephews, Curtis Luckenbill & Scott Schwartz, all of whom predeceased her. Linda is survived by two nephews, Craig Luckenbill, husband of Theresa, and Kenneth “Fred” Schwartz, fiancé of Tina; a niece, Connie Luckenbill Wright, wife of Will, and three grand nieces, Alison Luckenbill Marmas, wife of Kevin, Elizabeth Luckenbill Uniman, wife of Max, and Elizabeth Wright. She never failed to remember her great-grandnephew, Matthew Marmas and great-grandnieces, Macy, Molly & Maeva Marmas; Brier & Rowan Uniman with cards and gifts on their birthdays.

Linda graduated in 1959 from Blue Mountain High School. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Friedensburg. She was employed in Washington D.C. and then returned to Schuylkill County to work for J. Robert Bazley, Inc. She helped on the farm until her parents passed, then moved in with her sister, Ina and brother-in-law, Charles Luckenbill. She worked hard on their farm as well. Linda enjoyed reading and working in the garden.

A private memorial service will be observed at the convenience of the family.
