Lowell "Jim" T. Gilbert, 81, of Seton Manor Orwigsburg, formerly of Schuylkill Haven died Monday, September 19th, at Seton Manor.
Lowell was born in Schuylkill Haven, PA on March 10, 1935, a son of the late Alice (Moyer) and Ceylon L. Gilbert.
He was the widower of Elizabeth (Wiley) Gilbert. who died March 17, 2013.
He served in the National Guards for 12 years.
He retired in 1999 from Sch. Haven Bleach and Dye as at a machine operator.
Lowell is survived by two daughters, Deborah Mullins, of Pottsville, PA; and Joanne Marie Kintzel, of Pottsville, PA; a son, James L. Gilbert, of Pottsville, PA;
a step son,James Evans, of Minersville, PA; also survived by a sister, Suzanne Schrader, of Schuylkill Haven, PA; three brothers, Carson "Mike" Gilbert, of Friedensburg, PA; Melvin "Mush" Gilbert, of Schuylkill Haven, PA. Dale Gilbert, of Lake Wynonah.
Lowell was also survived by a daughter he considered his own and helped raise Jonna Lyn Roberts of Schuylkill Haven 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great grand child. he was preceded in death by a two brothers Ceylon Jr. and Nelson and a sister Betty Moyer.
Graveside services will be held 10:45 am from Schuylkill Memorial Park. .
A viewing will be held Friday 9:30 - 10:30 am. at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc. 25 East Main Street Schuylkill Haven.
Interment will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park Schuylkill Haven, PA.
