Lula M. "Vivian" Reed, 89, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Wednesday at Schoolyard Square, Pine Grove.
Born in Pine Grove, Nov. 3, 1926, she was a daughter of the late John Jr. and Elva Clements Zimmerman.
She was the widow of Charles A. Reed Sr., who passed away in 2005.
Vivian was formerly employed by the Union Knitting Mill for 40 years.
She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Schuylkill Haven, Schuylkill Haven Senior Citizens and the Liberty Fire Company.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Paul, Carl and Lynn; sisters, June Knarr and Mary Steffy.
Vivian is survived by a son, Charles A. Reed Jr., husband of Winnie, Schuylkill Haven; grandchildren, Kelly Howell, wife of Craig, Susquehanna Township, and Denise Reifsnyder, wife of Mike, Schuylkill Haven; three great-grandchildren, Colton, Anden and Ethan; brother, John Zimmerman, Pine Grove; sisters, Jean Waterhouse, Florida, and Joan Luksie, North Carolina; nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., Schuylkill Haven, with the Rev. Janet Lewis officiating. A viewing for family and friends will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
