Lynwood W. Fessler

Lynwood W. Fessler, 76, of New Holland, passed away Saturday while in the company of family members at Lancaster General, 555 N. Duke St., Lancaster.

Lynwood was born in Wayne Township, May 20, 1939, a son of the late Margaret Rhine and Robert Fessler.

He graduated from Cressona High School and served in the Army.

He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Summer Hill, Auburn.

He was a self-employed truck driver and mobile home setter for Fessler Mobile Home Service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Sterner Fessler.

He is survived by a daughter, Debra Bailey, Milton, Del.; three sons, Lynwood W. Fessler, Burlington Township, N.J., Kevin W. Fessler, Wernersville, and Wayne R. Fessler, Schuylkill Haven; four granddaughters and five grandsons; four great-grandchildren; a niece and three nephews; two sisters, Beverly, wife of Kenneth Trumbo, Summit Station, and Pansy, wife of James Strickland, Pottsville.

A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Summer Hill, Auburn, with the Rev. Mark Dewald officiating. Family and friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service at St. Paul's United Church of Christ. At the family's request, memorial donations may be sent to St. Paul's United Church of Christ Living Memorial Fund, Auburn, PA 17922. Interment with military honor will follow at Summer Hill Cemetery.
