Mabel A. Bensinger, 82, of Pottsville, passed away Friday at Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem.
Born in Mount Carbon, July 14, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Charles I. and Emily Kraft Ebling.
She was the widow of Charles W. "Buddy" Bensinger, who passed away June 25, 2013.
Mabel was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville, and had been employed by the Pottsville High School, working in the cafeteria.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles Bensinger Jr., and a brother, John Ebling.
She is survived by a son, Mark A. Bensinger, husband of Barbara, Northampton; a daughter, Susan A. Tarantino, Whitehall; grandchildren, Mark Allen Bensinger II, Victoria Bensinger and Alex Tarantino; sister, Connie Brown, Pottsville; brother, Ralph Ebling, Glen Bernie, Md.
A Celebration of Life funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville, with the Rev. Harold Hand officiating. A viewing will be held at the church from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. An additional time for viewing will be held 9:30 a.m. Tuesday until the time of service at the church. Interment will follow the service at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. At the family's request, memorial donations in Mabel's name may be forwarded to Trinity Lutheran Church, 300 W. Arch St., Pottsville, PA 17901.
