Margaret Louise Bolton, 96, passed away Thursday at Seton Manor where she had been a resident.
Born in Orwigsburg, March 19, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Hazel Leeser Daniels. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Robert, Richard and William.
Margaret was the widow of Therald O. Bolton, and the mother of Sandra and Therald "Terry" Jr. who passed away in childhood.
She was formerly employed by Argo Mills. Margaret was an active member of Grace Evangelical Congregational Church, and enjoyed singing in the choir and chaperoning the youth on trips to Hershey Park and church picnics. In her retirement, she could be seen daily walking through Schuylkill Haven, stopping frequently to say hi to those she met. Always a bright light of optimism, she brought a bit of joy with her wherever she went. As she often said, "sunshine behind the clouds."
Margaret was very involved in her children's and grandchildren's school activities throughout her life.
She is survived by three daughters, Gretchen Morgan, wife of Thomas, Lynchburg, Va., Jennifer Bender, wife of Jeffrey, The Woodlands, Texas, and Priscilla Olmes, wife of Philip, Orwigsburg; two sons, Gregory Bolton, Seattle, Wash., and Jeffrey Bolton, husband of Elizabeth, Rochester, Minn. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three on the way.
A private graveside service will be held at Union Cemetery, Schuylkill Haven, at the family's convenience. At the family's request, contributions in Margaret's name may be sent to Seton Manor Activities Fund, 1000 Seton Manor Drive, Orwigsburg, PA 17961.
