Martin W. Fenstermacher

July 31, 1956 — January 26, 2015

Martin W. “Marty” Fenstermacher, 58, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Monday, January 26th, at Lehigh Valley Medical Center, Allentown.

Born in Pottsville, on July 31, 1956, he was a son of Geraldine (Jimerson) Fenstermacher, of Schuylkill Haven and the late Melvin W. Fenstermacher.

He was a graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School and was employed in swimming pool construction.

Marty was a member the Seneca Nation of Indians - Heron Clan, Salamanca, NY. He enjoyed fishing, boating and pipemaking. He loved to garden and was a prankster. He also loved all the children in his family.

In addition to his mother, he is also survived by two sisters: Dorothy A. Reedy, Schuylkill Haven, and Susan J. Hummel, Schuylkill Haven, a brother, Walter C. Fenstermacher & his companion, Sherri Edwards, Orwigsburg, as well as nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and his cat, Nikki.

In addition to his father, Marty was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Calvin & Emily Fenstermacher, and his maternal grandparents: Dorothy & Walter Jimerson.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc., 25 E. Main St., Schuylkill Haven, at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 30th,  with Pastor David Rowe officiating.

A visitation will be held Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Interment will be privately held at the family’s convenience.
