Martin R. Jones Sr., 77, of New Ringgold, passed away Sunday at his son's residence, surrounded by family.
Born in East Brunswick Township, Dec. 15, 1938, he was a son of the late William and Evelyn Eyer Jones.
In addition to his parents, Martin was also preceded in death by his first wife, Pearl H. Jones.
He was a graduate of Blue Mountain High School and had served in the Navy.
Martin was self-employed, working as the co-owner of a carpentry company with his brother.
He was a member of Christ Church McKeansburg and was a life member of the New Ringgold Fire Company and Pine Creek Fishing Club.
Martin is survived by two sons, Martin R. Jones Jr. and wife, Josette, West Palm Beach, Fla., and Mark M. Jones and wife, Susan, New Ringgold; three brothers, William Jones, Barry Jones and Bruce Jones, all of McKeansburg; grandchildren, Nicole Jones, Zack Zimmerman, Ricky Zimmerman and Amanda Hengen; 11 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
A private service and interment will be held at the family's convenience.
