Melvin A. Phillips, 89, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Saturday at his residence.
Melvin was born in Adamsdale, June 6, 1926, a son of the late Irvin and Cora Mengel Phillips.
He was the husband of Erma Ney Phillips, to whom he was married 68 years.
He served in the Navy in the Korean Conflict.
He was employed as an inspector at Dana Corp.
Melvin was preceded in death by a son, Melvin; a daughter, Joanne Wingle; four brothers; three sisters.
In addition to his wife, Melvin is survived by a daughter, Melanie, widow of John Reiff, Schuylkill Haven; a son, Randell, husband of Susan Phillips, Schuylkill Haven; a granddaughter; two grandsons; two great-granddaughters.
Services are private at the convenience of the family in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
