Michael Hoysock, 91, of Mar-Lin, PA, passed away Wednesday, June 7th, at home.
Born at home in Mar-Lin, PA on April 20, 1926, a son of the late John & Stella (Podwapinska) Hoysock.
He was the husband of Delta Margaretta (Houser) Valentine Hoysock, whom he married October 23, 2003.
Michael was a member of St. Joseph's Polish Catholic Church, Middleport.
His hobbies include music and gardening.
He had been employed as a coal miner in the mines for Pine Nott, Duncott. Later he worked as a plumber for Rosenberger Plumbing and Heating and a pipe fitter for the Local Union No. 524.
In addition to his parents, Michael was also preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth (Beury) Hoysock on May 14, 1997, siblings: Carl, Stanley, Andrew, & Walter Hoysock, and Victoria Pivnickas, and grandchildren: John Stabinsky, Sean Lipsett, and Aniya Lipsett.
In addition to his wife, Michael is survived by three daughters: Darlene E. Stabinsky & husband, Ronald Sr., Mar-Lin, Karen J. Pena & husband, Isaac, Pottsville, and Marie Lipsett & husband, David, Mar-Lin, two sons: Michael Hoysock, Jr. and wife, Mary Jane, Cumbola, and John H. Hopsack & wife, Cheryl, Orwigsburg, as well as 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, a sister, Ann Helen (Hoysock) Poslosky & her husband, Charles, Phoenix, AZ, and nieces & nephews.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be conducted at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven, on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. with Father Richard Wosiak officiating.
A viewing will be held at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday.
Interment will follow the service at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Brockton, PA.
