Michael Eugene Hrenyo, 78, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Saturday at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg.
Michael was born in Pottsville, Feb. 18, 1937, a son of the late Michael and Mary Biletz Hrenyo.
He graduated from Pottsville High School in 1955.
He was the husband of Nancy A. Thomas Hrenyo, to whom he was married for 51 years.
Michael served in the Army Reverse.
He worked as a pattern maker for the former PA Steel Foundry, Hamburg. He also was a truck driver for many local companies and did carpet installation. His last employment was a forklift operator for Lowe's Regional Distribution Center, Highridge Business Park.
He was a member of the National Rifle Association.
Mike was preceded in death by an infant sister, Arlene.
Michael is survived, in addition to his wife, by a daughter, Theresa, wife of Steve Dion, St. Paul's, N.C.; a son, Michael, husband of Kimberly Hrenyo, Port Carbon; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and nieces; his caregivers, Brenda and Jim Guldin, Cressona; two sisters, Virginia, wife of Joseph Kapusnick, North Bethesda, Md., and Mary Ann, wife of Norman Sawyer, of Owings, Md.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven, with Monsignor Edward S. Zemanik officiating. Family and friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass on Thursday at the church. Interment will follow in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
