Michael McShaw, III, 61, of Pottsville, passed away Monday, February 29th, at Schuylkill Medical Center East.
Born in Pottsville on July 19, 1954, he was a son of the late Michael McShaw, Sr. & Margaret (Williams) McShaw.
In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his sister, Janice Benedict, brother, Bernard McShaw, and nephew, Jason McShaw.
Michael was a member of St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville, and was formerly employed by Pottsville Sanitation and Haven Line Casket Company, Schuylkill Haven.
He also belonged to the AMVETS, West End Hose Co., and was a former member of the Moose.
Michael is survived by the love of his life, Rhonda McCabe, a daughter, Audriana McShaw & her boyfriend, Andrew, a son, Michael McShaw IV, all of Pottsville, as well as two sisters; Joan Lafferty, Pottsville, & Marie Updegrave, Tremont, two brothers; John McShawn, & Robert McShaw, both of Pottsville, and nieces & nephews and great-nieces & nephews.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc., 25 E. Main St., Schuylkill Haven, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 8th, with Rev. Jim Shields officiating.
A viewing will be held at the funeral home Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
Interment will be privately held at the family’s convenience.
