Myron A. Yourshaw, 78, of Saint Clair, passed away Saturday, June 24th, 2023 at The Gardens at York Terrace, Pottsville.
Born in Pottsville on June 7, 1945, he was the son of the late Charles and Anna (Verchick) Yourshaw. He was preceded in death by his sister, Helen Yourshaw, and niece, Kari Elsts.
Myron was a 1963 graduate of Saint Clair High School and a 1971 Graduate of Penn State University, where he received a degree in mechanical engineering. After graduation, he worked for Lane Construction Corporation, headquartered in Berlin, Connecticut until his retirement in 2012. He supervised repair of construction equipment and infrastructure projects from Maine to North Carolina, including interstate highways, airport runways, and flood control dams for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He was renowned for his skill and ability to fix anything.
Myron loved antique cars and especially enjoyed attending car shows. He was beloved by many friends and relatives.
He was a member of Saint Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, Saint Clair.
He is survived by his siblings: Ethel Elsts of Alexandria, Virginia; Charles (Susan) Yourshaw of Pottsville, John Yourshaw of Gaithersburg, Maryland, Anna (James) Rehnert of Saint Clair, and several nieces and nephews.
Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Friday, June 30th at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, Saint Clair, with Monsignor Myron Grabowsky officiating. A viewing will be held at the church from 9:00 -10:30 AM.
Interment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Saint Clair.
