Nancy J. Symons

Nancy J. Symons, 82, of Auburn, passed away Saturday, Oct. 1, at Geisinger St. Luke's Hospital, near Orwigsburg.

Born April 24, 1940, in Auburn, she was a daughter of the late Mary Chupkai and John Pales.

Nancy attended Auburn High School and last was employed as a school bus driver at R&J Transportation.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her partner of 43 years, C.J. Adams; sisters, Mary Hartinger and Hilda Miller; and a brother, John Pales.

Nancy is survived by her children, Debbie Bailey, Lynwood Fessler, Kevin Fessler, Jennifer Delong and Karen Moyer; stepsons, Jeff, Robbie and Keith Adams. She is also survived by her sister, Lillian Heim; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 7, at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc. in Schuylkill Haven, with Pastor Jonathan Heim officiating. A viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow the service in Summer Hill Cemetery, Auburn.
