Pamela Ruth Achey, 68, of Pottsville, passed away Thursday, December 15th, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Schuylkill, E. Norwegian St., Pottsville.
Born in Pottsville on January 20, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Edward G. & Elizabeth M. (Bair) Witman.
Pamela was a 1965 graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School. She also attended Penn State Schuylkill and Empire Beauty School.
She was of the Wiccan and Lutheran Faith, and the co-founder of EUC Coven which is now one million strong and the Parents Circle. Her proudest career accomplishment was becoming a grand high priestess.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her sister, Jill Witman and companion, Thomas Gordon.
Pamela is survived by two daughters, Kara Achey-Hewes & companion, John Detweiler, & Denise Strenkoski, all of Pottsville, adopted daughter Crystal Staller, grandchildren: Chandler Hewes, Layla-Harley Hewes, Shane & Kyle Hewes, adopted granddaughters Annika and Taylor Staller, a sister, Sara Strouse & husband, Glen, Schuylkill Haven, and two brothers: Peter Witman, Florida, & Joel Witman & wife, Michelle, South Carolina.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 2 pm at Geschwindt Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven. A visitation will be held prior from 1 pm until the time of the service. In order to defray the cost of funeral expenses the family request donations to Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc. 25 East Main Street, Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972.
