Patricia A. Shively, 82, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Friday, October 9th, at Rosewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, North Manheim Township.
Born in Pottsville on October 25, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Harry A. Thomas, Sr. and Margaret (Brown) Thomas.
She was the widow of Frederick James Shively who passed away in 1986.
In addition to her parents, Patricia is also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Samantha Hoover, and son-in-law, Richard Schumacher.
She was a graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School, Class of 1955.
Patricia was a faithful and active member of Covenant United Methodist Church, Schuylkill Haven.
In addition to working as a homemaker, Patricia had also been employed by the Schuylkill Haven Trust Company as a bank teller, for Hardee's and McDonald's, and was co-owner/operator of Inn 83.
Patricia is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Schmacher, three grandchildren: Victoria Hoover, Taylor Eddie, and Charlie Schumacher, great-grandchildren: Samantha Metroka, and Fate Block, brother, Harry A. Thomas, Jr., and six nephews: Robert, William, Richard, James, David, & John Thomas.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
As an animal lover, Patricia had rescued and fostered many cats and dogs. In honor of her devotion to animals, her family would prefer donations in her memory forwarded to Ruth Steinert SPCA, P O Box 332, Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972.
