Paul F. Clauser, Jr., 82, of Wayne Township, passed away Friday, July 17th, at Schuylkill Medical Center East, Pottsville.
Born in Wayne Township, August 7, 1932, he was a son of the late Paul F. Clauser, Sr. & Luella E. (Schaller) Clauser.
He was married to his wife, Ellen Louise (Hughes) Clauser, for 55 years.
Paul was a graduate of Cressona High School and was formerly employed by the Walk-In Shoe Company and Reneer Films.
He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ Summer Hill, Auburn and the Pine Grove Senior Citizens Group.
As an avid golfer, Paul loved playing in the Senior Golf Leagues at Hidden Valley and Green Acres Golf Courses.
He also enjoyed traveling, as well as playing the accordion for hoe downs with his relatives in the Clauser Band.
In addition to his wife, Paul is also survived by two sons, Paul F. Clauser, III, and Robert P. Clauser & wife, Dana, all of Wayne Township; three granddaughters, Lauren, Linsey & Kaylee Clauser, all at home; three sisters, Jeannette Krammes & husband, Allen, Wayne Township, Elaine Krause, widow of Lewis, Harrisburg, and Fern Krause, Pottsville; and two brothers, Herman Clauser, Sr., & wife, Nancy, and Richard Clauser, & wife, Linda, all of Wayne Township.
Paul was a loving family man and was very proud of his children and grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Summer Hill Auburn, at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21st, with Pastor Mark Dewald officiating.
A viewing will be held Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
Interment will follow the service at Summer Hill Cemetery, Auburn.
