Paul L. Potts

Paul L. Potts, 79, of Cressona, passed away Sunday at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill S. Jackson Street.

Born in Pottsville, Oct. 26, 1937, he was a son of the late John and Irma A. Sabol Potts.

He was the husband of Jean M. Osman Potts. The couple celebrated 56 happy years of marriage on Feb. 11.

Paul was a 1955 graduate of Mount Carmel Catholic High School and received a bachelor's degree from Drexel University.

He was house manager of the Lambda Chapter Alpha Fraternity. He also belonged to the Scabbard & Blade Military Society, and was an Eagle Scout.

Paul was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church. Schuylkill Haven.

He proudly served in the Army in the Infantry.

Paul had been employed as an insurance agent for Allstate for 36 years.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, David Potts.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by two sons, Steven L. Potts and wife, Claire Needham, London, England, and Kevin D. Potts and wife, Carol Ann, Schuylkill Haven; four grandchildren, Gabriel, Chloe, Michael and Ryan Potts; three sisters, Carolyn Bolan, Florida, Patricia Connelly, Pittsburgh, and JoAnne Miller, Kulpmont; a brother, Jack Potts, Lewistown; mother-in-law, Anna Osman, Mount Carmel; brother-in-law, Robert Osman, Syracuse, N.Y.; sister-in-law, Loretta Zenyuh and husband, John, Cornwall-on-the-Hudson, N.Y.; nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life funeral service followed by military honors will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home, Cressona, with Monsignor William Handges and Father Robert Potts co-officiating. A viewing will be held from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be privately held at the family's convenience. The family requests donations in Paul's memory to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
