Richard J. Bilinski

Richard “Dick” J. Bilinski, 88, formerly of Auburn, passed away Monday, Dec. 12, at Providence Place Senior Living, Pine Grove.

Born July 15, 1934, in Philadelphia, Richard was a son of the late Katherine and Joseph Bilinski. He was preceded in death by his sister, Olga Hess, and brother, Donald. Richard’s wife, Helen Gloria (New), passed away in Aug. 2013 just after they celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary.

A U.S. Army veteran, Richard retired from Bell Telephone after 33 years, working in marketing and management. He was a life member of VFW Pine Grove and Cressona American Legion, as well as numerous social clubs throughout the area.

Dick and his brother, Bob, were the former owners of the Crossroads Hotel/Restaurant in Adamsdale.

In addition to his brother, Robert “Bob,” and sister-in-law, Karen Bilinski, of Lafayette Hills, Richard is survived by three daughters: Elizabeth, wife of Kurt Blankenhorn, of Cressona; Margaret Kinsey, of Auburn; and Dr. Carol Bilinski, wife of John Crane, of Orwigsburg; as well as a son, Richard Bilinski, of Schuylkill Haven.

He is also survived by grandchildren: Bonnie Boyer, and husband, Trent; Molly Raelinski and husband, Chris; Kimberly Joyce and husband, Andrew; Kyle Blankenhorn and wife, Jess; Timy Mengle; Patrick and Sean Crane; as well as five great-grandchildren.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family, officiated by Father Kurt Kovalovich. Dick and Gloria will be interred together at Summer Hill Cemetery.
