Richard J. Hartman

Richard J. Hartman, 70, of Pine Grove, passed away Monday, Jan. 18, at his residence.

Born in Pottsville, Feb. 15, 1950, he was a son of the late Grace (Witmer) and Charles Hartman.

He was the husband of Faye M.(Hubler) Hartman, with whom he would have celebrated 51 years of marriage on Feb. 7.

He was a member of Jacob's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove, PA 17963.

He attended Pottsville Area High School, and then served in the Air Force, and was formerly employed by Tropp Contracting as a truck driver. Richard was also a very talented wood worker.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Christa Hartman and her fiance, Stephen Rada, of Pine Grove; grandson, Connor Rada, who was the apple of his eye; brother, Charles Hartman, of Port Carbon; his dog, Trudy; his cat, Cuddles; nieces, a nephew and cousins.

Interment will be private in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. At the family's request, memorial donations may be forwarded to Ruth Steinert SPCA, P.O. Box 332, Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972.
