Robert James Eckert, Sr., 72, of Pottsville, died Sunday, October 2nd, at home.
Robert was born in Pottsville, PA on August 4, 1944, a son of the late Marion (Brennan) and Harry Eckert.
He was the husband of Mary F. (Campion) Eckert. to whom he was married to for 52 years.
He retired from Dana Corp. in Reading as a Welder
Bob loved spending time with his grandson Mark Jr. and enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time outdoors, motorcycling, time with his family, tinkering with cars, and telling fun stories with family and friends.
He is survived by three sons Robert Eckert Jr., of Bellefonte, Mark, husband of Tara Eckert, of Pottsville; Steven, husband of Amy Eckert, of Pottsville;
Also survived by three sisters, Nancy Neubling, of MD; Janice Webber, of Schuylkill Haven; Darlene Faust, of Auburn, two brothers, David Eckert and Clarence Eckert, of Pottsville;
Also survived by 3 grandchildren Kayla Schreffler, Mark Eckert Jr. and Rachel Eckert
