Rose Marie "Ree" (Gaffney) Hardinger

Rose Marie Hardinger, 89, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Seton Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Orwigsburg, where she had been a resident for the past month.

She was born in Landingville on September 8, 1935, the daughter of the late Rita (Leddy) & Robert Gaffney. She was the wife of the late John H. Hardinger, Jr.

Ree, as she was known to her countless friends, was employed by the Schuylkill Haven Trust Company, eventually managing the Orwigsburg branch. After retiring from the bank she then traveled extensively as the coordinator of the bank's program that ran vacation trips for investors and customers.

She was a past member of the Orwigsburg Lionettes and was a lifelong member of the Community Fire Company of Landingville where she continued to hold an administrative office until last year. She was a lifelong member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven.

Her greatest joy in recent years was time spent with her family. Nana Ree is survived by her children David Hardinger, husband of Patti, Orwigsburg, Dane Hardinger and his fiance Gloria Bambrick, Auburn, Holli Dreher, Schuylkill Haven, grandchildren: Stephanie Lehigh (wife of Kyle), Dane Hardinger, Jr. (husband of Catie), Ryan Dreher, Kristen Carroll (wife of Jason), Megan Sprenger, Jessica Reier (wife of Michael), great-grandchildren: Devin Womert (husband of Alera), Sadie Lehigh, Kevin Lehigh, Maci Sprenger, Chase Sprenger, Hunter Hardinger, Hayden Hardinger, Brody Reier, Wyatt Reier, & Jillian Carroll, and great-great-granddaughter, Eloise Womert.

Services are private at the convenience of the family.
