Rudy F. Moyer

Rudy Franklin Moyer, 92, of  Schuylkill Haven, passed away Saturday, April 29th, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Schuylkill, E. Norwegian St., Pottsville.

Born in Pottsville on August 17, 1930, he was a son of the late George A. & Marion M. (Bartlet) Moyer.

He was the husband of Jacqueline A. (Kutz) Moyer.

He was a member of Bethany Christian Fellowship Church, Cressona.

He was a graduate of Cressona High School, Class of 1948; and had served in the U.S. Army.

Rudy worked with his father who was a carpenter.  He later worked for the Schuylkill Haven Casket Company where he became plant foreman for 58 years. He was chairman of the Board and the Treasurer of the Schuylkill Haven Casket Company.

Rudy was a member of Cressona Lodge #222 where he helped start the annual Sauerkraut Dinner. He also belonged to the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, and the Rajah Shrine.

In addition to his wife, Rudy is also survived by two daughters, Rudi M. Moyer, fiancee of David J. Weiss, of Schuylkill Haven, and Brenda C., wife of Robert Cooper, of Summit Station. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren Robert Rudy Cooper husband of Dawn and Kristin B Reinert wife of Terry and 4 great grandchildren Alaina Jade and Ethan Michael Cooper and Madison Kinsley and Jackson Layne Reinert.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday May 4 at 2 pm at Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven. A viewing for family and friends will be held from 1pm until the time of services.

Interment will follow at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
