Russell L. Peiffer, 90, of Summit Station, passed away Saturday, December 24th, at his residence.
Russell was born in Summit Station, PA on July 19, 1926, a son of the late Annie (Schaeffer) and William Peiffer.
He was the husband of Florence "Mae" (Edwards) Peiffer.
He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ Summer Hill Auburn, PA 17922.
He served in the U.S. Navy.
He retired from Walkin Shoe Factory
Russell was a member of St. Pauls UCC, Cressona Lodge #222 F&AM and Summit Station Amvets.
Russell is survived by two daughters, Ruthann, wife of Kenneth Freeman, of Texas; Janet, wife of Nicholas Rodnick, of Summit Station, two sons Richard, husband of Annette Peiffer, of Elkton MD; David Peiffer, of Summit Station; also survived by 14 grandchildren and 20 great grand children. Russell was preceded in death by a son Brian who died March 1, 2015 and a grand son DJ Peiffer who died in 2007 and 3 brothers Carl, William and Paul.
Religious Service at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc. , Schuylkill Haven, PA, at 10:30 am on Friday, December 30th, with Rev. Mark Dewald officiating.
A viewing will be held Thursday 6 - 8 pm. and Friday 9:30. till time of service at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc.
