Scott Alan Schwartz

Scott Alan Schwartz, 60, of Auburn, passed away Monday, August 2nd, at his residence.

Born in Pottsville, on June 25, 1961, a son of the late Jeanette (Geary) and Paul Schwartz.

He was the husband of Lisa B. (Banta) Schwartz, whom he married on June 4, 1999.

He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Friedensburg.

Scott was a graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School, class of 1979 and Kutztown University where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. He then attended Alvernia for his Master's Degree in Education. He was employed by Kid's Peace for 26 years and the Children's Home of Reading for 10 years. He spent his life working with children.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Wendy (Larry), Chuck (companion Sandy) and Donny (Nikki); grandchildren Shane, Nicholas, Madison, Sarah and Benjamin; brother Kenneth "Fred" Schwartz (fiancé Tina); cousin Laura (Terry); father and mother in law Charles and Marilynn; brother in law Jim (Candace); nephews Patrick and Kennedy.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
