Shirley M. (Ebert) Fessler

Summit Station

Shirley M. Fessler, 70, of Summit Station, passed away Sunday, September 29th, at St. Luke's Hospice House, Bethlehem.

Born in Pottsville on November 27, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Albert F. Ebert, Jr. & Ethel E. (Bennethum) Ebert.

Shirley was the widow of Randall R. Fessler, Sr. who passed away in February of 2012.

She was a 1973 graduate of Pottsville Area High School.

Shirley was employed for the former Boltz's Knitting Mill, Pottsville.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Summer Hill, Auburn.

Shirley is survived by a son, Randy R. Fessler, husband of Elaine Martin, of Summit Station; a grandson, Trystain; a great-grandson, Oliver; son, Les Fessler, husband of Erin, Schuylkill Haven, a granddaughter, Emma; a brother, Albert F. Ebert, III, of Pottsville; and a sister, Mary Lord, of Seltzer.

In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley is also preceded in death by a brother, Harry C. Ebert and a sister, Alice Barket.

A graveside service will be held at Summer Hill Cemetery on Friday at 12:30 PM with Pastor Marie Meeks officiating.
