Shirley M. Lengel, 75, of Orwigsburg, died Friday at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Allentown.
Shirley was born in Auburn, Feb. 8, 1942, a daughter of the late Leon C. and Geraldine Haag Wessner.
She was the widow of Walter Lengel, who died in 2015.
She was a member of Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Schuylkill Haven.
She retired from Wrights Knitwear, having worked in the office.
Shirley was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth.
Shirley is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Edwards, wife of Michael Miller, Schuylkill Haven; two sons, Ronald, husband of Kathy Bromwell, Schuylkill Haven and Jeffrey Bromwell, Orwigsburg; four brothers, Herbert (Rusty), husband of Carolyn Wessner, Stuart, Fla., Leon (Rick) Wessner, Auburn, Robert, husband of Lois Wessner, Merritt Island, Fla., and Todd, husband of Janice Wessner, Auburn; five grandchildren, Alicia Fehr, wife of John, James Bromwell, Alex Edwards, Jacob Edwards and Mycaella Bromwell; two great-grand children, Aubree and Jett Fehr.
A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Schuylkill Haven, with the Rev. David Rowe officiating. A visitation with family will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. The family requests donations to Jerusalem Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 252 Dock St., Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Auburn.
