Shirley M. Schaeffer, 85, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Wednesday at St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem.
Born in Pine Grove, June 19, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Gertrude Wolfe Forth.
She was the widow of Arthur A. Schaeffer, who passed away in February 2000.
Shirley was a member of Jacob's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove.
She was employed by Ethel Maid in the finishing department.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Arthur and Alvin Schaeffer; a granddaughter, Danielle Buzalko; a brother, Bernard D. Forth.
Shirley is survived by two daughters, Carol Searle and husband, Donald, Friedensburg, and Mary Buzalko and husband, Brian, Schuylkill Haven; three grandchildren, Donald Searle, Jennifer Neifert and Michael Buzalko; two great-grandchildren, Ryan Searle and Savannah Buzalko.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., Schuylkill Haven, with the Rev. Barry Spatz officiating. A visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be privately held at the family's convenience.
