Sophie E. Boyer, 94, of Venice, FL passed away Sunday, September 18th, at Venice Regional Medical Center where she was a patient since September 13, 2016.
Sophie was born in Mahanoy City, on April 18, 1922, a daughter of the late Elizabeth and Charles Klementovich.
She was the widow of Walter Boyer, who passed away in 1997.
She was a great seamstress. Sewed alter server gowns for St. John the Baptist PNCC, drapes, costumes for Jean Dixon Dance Studio and prom gowns for her granddaughter. Sophie also knit caps for premature babies at High Risk Hope, Tampa, FL. She also loved playing cards.
Sophie is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Seasock wife of Charles, Apex, NC; two sons John C. Plaxa husband of Joanne, Auburn and Ronald Plaxa husband of Marguerite, Parrish, FL.
Sophie is also survived by grandchildren Ron Plaxa, Kimberly Coughlin, Cindi Grosser wife of Don; great grandchildren Ron Plaxa, Ashley Plaxa, Joshua Grosser and Sarah Grosser; sister Irene Bader, Frackville; and brother Charles, Waverly, GA.
Sophie is preceded in death by her brothers Victor, Stanley, Henry, Albert, Teddy and sisters Wanda and Katherine.

Sophie touched the hearts of everyone who met her. She is at peace with God having lived a full and fun life.
Services and interment will be private at the convenience of the Family.
