Suzanne E. (Berger) Lascala, Rn

Suzanne E. LaScala, 86, of Luther Ridge, formerly of Schuylkill Haven,  passed away Friday, October 14th, at Luther Ridge, Pottsville.

Suzanne was born in Pottsville, PA on April 29, 1936, a daughter of the late Sue C. (Matlock) Berger and Walter "Barney" Berger.

She was the widow of Nicholas W. LaScala who passed away July 20, 2022.

She was a graduate of Schuylkill Haven High Class of 1954 and Clara Mass Memorial Hospital School of Nursing Newark New Jersey.

Suzanne retired from Good Samaritan Hospital where she was a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room. She was the "greatest" grandmother to all her grandchildren something that each will have for the rest of there lives. She had a heart of gold, a mother to all neighborhood children, had a great saying for the first of May, a nurse to family and everyone.

She is survived by a daughter, Susan J. Dixon, three sons: Douglas W., husband of Sandra LaScala, Ronald C. "Bo", husband of Audrey LaScala, all of Schuylkill Haven;  & Timothy J., husband of June LaScala, of Sicklerville, NJ. Sue is also survived by grandchildren: Nicholas, Christopher (Marissa), Michael (Eileen), Lisa, Timothy  "TJ", Matthew, & Lindsay LaScala, Zachary Dixon, Courtney (John) Powers, & Dr. KateLynn (Scott) Bauer, great-grandchildren: Landon, & Lucy LaScala, Maren Powers, and two on the way. One brother Marvin husband of Sandy Berger of Schuylkill Haven. Nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, October 20th at Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Schuylkill Haven with Pastor Larry Laine officiating.

A viewing for family and friends will be held 9 - 11 am on Thursday October 20, at Jerusalem Lutheran Church.

The family prefers remembrances in the form of contributions to  Jerusalem Lutheran Church 252 Dock Street Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972 or Ruth Steinert SPCA 18 Wertz Road Pine Grove PA 17963.
