Theodore M. Schneider, 78, of Orwigsburg, passed away Friday at Orwigsburg Center, Orwigsburg.
Theodore was born in Pottsville, May 27, 1937, a son of the late Anna Rizzardi and Theodore J. Schneider.
He was the husband of Anna M. Gustis Schneider.
He was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven, and served as an usher. He was also a member of the Saint Clair Old Timers Association. Teddy was a graduate of Orwigsburg High School, Class of 1955 and attended Penn State University. In his free time he enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, collecting pens, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was employed as an educational furniture salesman as the owner and operator of T. Schneider Company.
In addition to his wife, Teddy is survived by his children, Christine Yanak and husband, Bud, Blue Bell, Deborah Polen and husband, Gary Spector, East Rockaway, N.Y., Theodore J. Schneider and companion, Kim Clements, Exeter, R.I., Thomas Schneider; grandchildren, Daniel Yanak, Elizabeth Yanak-Falcone, wife of Rob, Jocelyn, Zachary, Bennett and Natalie Polen, Theodore "Drew," Emily and Keith Schneider; great-grandchild, Adelaide Polen; sisters, Lucille Stamm, Seneka, N.C., Augusta Stauffer, wife of James, Auburn.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven, with the Rev. Monsignor Edward S. Zemanik officiating. A viewing for family and friends will be held from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Ambrose Church Memorial Fund, 201 Randel St., Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972. Interment will be at St. Ambrose Cemetery, Schuylkill Haven.
