Vera L. Mcafee

Vera L. McAfee, 93, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Tuesday, August 3rd, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Schuylkill, E. Norwegian St., Pottsville.



Born in Glen Lyon, PA on November 24, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Durwood H. & Mary K. (Belles) Smith.



She was the widow of Donald E. McAfee, who passed away April 29, 1987.



In addition to her parents and husband, Vera is also preceded in death by one son, Daniel McAfee, and three sisters: Bessie Silvetti, Yoda Barron, & Mary Stoudt.



Vera was a graduate of Berwick High School.



She was a faithful member of Covenant United Methodist Church, Schuylkill Haven.



Devoted to her family, Vera was a loving Mom and Grammy.She enjoyed bowling competitively, and crocheting.



Vera is survived by three sons: David, husband of Kate McAfee, of Mechanicsburg; Mark, husband ofAnn McAfee, of St. Peters, Missouri; & Thomas McAfee, of Auburn. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Megan Ritter, Chase, Mackenzie, Conner, Dana, & Martina McAfee, three great-grandsons, and nieces & nephews.



A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, August 9th at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven with Rev. Bill Parrish officiating.A viewing will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of service.Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Berwick, PA.
