William A. Lambert

William A. Lambert, 93, of North Manheim Township, passed away Friday at Broad Mountain Rehabilitation Center, Frackville.

Born in Harrisburg, April 11, 1924, he was a son of the late Ehrman and Erma Lehman Lambert.

He was the husband of Betty Grickis Lambert.

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Saint Clair. He also belonged to American Legion Robert E. Baker Post 38, Schuylkill Haven; Pottsville AMVETS; Pottsville Senior Citizens; and Schuylkill Haven Senior Citizens.

Bill served in the Army and was a POW in Italy during World War II.

He attended MIT and was employed as an electrical engineer for Burnhan Boiler.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Jean O'Neill Lambert, in 2000. Bill was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Virginia Puckett, New Jersey; three sons, Brian Lambert, Pottsville, William Lambert Jr., Mount Joy, and Craig Lambert, Pottsville; stepson, Richard Grickis Jr., stepdaughters, Bonnie Staller and Jayne Grickis; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at First Presbyterian Church, Saint Clair. A viewing will be held from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg, at the family's convenience. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Bill's memory to First Presbyterian Church, 120 N. Mill St., Saint Clair, PA 17970.
