William J. "BJ" "Will" Long, 26, of Summit Station, passed away Thursday in Friedensburg.
Born in Pottsville on July 2, 1991, he was a son of William and Denise Thompson Long, Schuylkill Haven.
He attended Blue Mountain High School and was employed by Pleasant Valley Homes, Pine Grove.
William was a loving son and brother, as well as a wonderful father. His son, Damien, was everything to him.
He was preceded in death by two uncles, Michael Joseph Long and James Grabarek Long.
In addition to his parents, William is also survived by a son, Damien Brantlecht-Long; a sister, Paige Long; paternal grandparents, Nicholas and Judith Shestok, Orwigsburg; maternal grandparents, Joseph and Carol Stock, Summit Station; aunts and uncles, Lizabeth Conklin, John Long, Judith Correll, Patricia Koehler, Yvonne Thompson, Kevin Thompson, Matthew, Michael and Susan Shestok; cousins; nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home, Cressona, with the Rev. Curtis Zemencik officiating. A visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the family's convenience. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in William's memory be made to Damien's Education Fund at any Santander Bank branch.
