William E. Webber, 76, of Pottsville, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 11, at home.
William was born Sept. 9, 1946, in Pottsville, a son of the late Carolyn (Tanner) and John R. Webber.
He was the widower of Candida (Dooley) Webber, who passed away June 27, 2018.
Bill was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Pottsville. He enjoyed the pool, watching his grandsons play baseball and volunteering at the Schuylkill County Historical Society, Pottsville. He cheered for the Eagles, Phillies, Penn State and Pottsville High.
He served in the Army and was a Vietnam veteran.
He last worked in logistics at Fort Indiantown Gap Military Reservation, Annville.
Bill is survived by a daughter, Jennifer, wife of Blake Basom, of Mechanicsburg; two grandsons, Landon and Emmett; two brothers, Robert, husband of Denise, of Pottsville, and John R. Jr., husband of Elaine, Coral Springs, Fla.; nephews, Robert Webber Jr., of Cumbola, and David Webber; nieces, Traci and Melissa; many dear family and friends.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, with a visitation for family and friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, Pottsville, with Father Kevin Bobbin officiating. Columbarium placement with full military honors will follow the Mass in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
