Bryan McKinley Hoover, 82, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Monday, May 20th, at home with family by his side.
Born in Reading, PA on November 30, 1941, he was a son of the late McKinley & Carolyn (Moyer) Hoover. He was an identical triplet with his brothers Bruce and Brent.
He was the husband of Merry G. (Louttit) Hoover.
Bryan was a graduate of Blue Mountain High School and Penn State University.
Bryan was a Boy Scout attaining Eagle Scout rank.
Bryan had served in the U.S. Army as a 2nd lieutenant.
He was a co-owner of his family's business, Cressona Trucking.
He was a member of St. Mark's United Church of Christ, Cressona.
Bryan was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, especially with his grandchildren. He enjoyed growing tomatoes in his garden, as well as traveling with his family. He also enjoyed time in the pool with his grandchildren and ice cream.
In addition to his parents, Bryan is also preceded in death by his sister, Madeline "Chip" Hoover.
He is survived by his son, Mark B. Hoover & wife, Becky, Schuylkill Haven, step-daughter, Jennifer Lecher, Florida, grandchildren: Allison, Joshua, McKinley, Alyssa, Nicholas, Jordan, Alexis, & Logan, sister, Marilyn Hoover Reedy, Cressona, brothers: Bruce Hoover & wife, Jean, Cressona, & Brent Hoover, Oley, and 16 nieces & nephews.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home, Cressona, on June 17th with Rev. Kevin Fruchtl officiating. A viewing will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of service.
Interment will follow at Cressona Cemetery, Cressona.
The family prefers remembrances in the form of contributions to Jam Rec Center, care of Bethesda EC Church, 155 Reedsville Road, Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972.
